I run into Alan at a weird point in my life last year. I had taken on way too much and was digging out of projects at my state job as well as Bourbon Archaeology projects. I was burnt out and running on the fumes of how exciting bourbon archaeology is and how fun it is to share that with people during presentations.
It took me a few months to actually finish this interview based on questions that Alan sent to me. But it hit me at exactly the right time, when I needed to sit down and reevaluate some directions that I am heading with my research.
Here is a link to the interview on his page. While you are there check out his other interviews, there is some incredible information on his page and I learn something every time I speak with Alan.
Enjoy.
